Bosch Dishwasher not taking in water?

I have new Bosch diswasher. I hooked up a stainless Watts floodsafe compression connector. I turn on the diswasher. It goes into drain mode but water never enters the machine. I turned the diswasher on its side to see if any water enters the machine connection elbow. No water is being taking in what so ever. There is a small electrical component on the life side of the machine with two small wires connected to it. Does this electrical part control the intake? It that the impellar jug? Could that be the source my problem?

you need to establish if the connection you made to the pipework is letting water through, take a hose from your washing machine connect it to your new plumbing and check if water is flowing when the valve is turned on, if it is and you say the d/w is new get a call in for service repair. if no water is flowing its time to go back to the drawing board. the flow meter/jug is next to solenoid valve
