My Hoover electronic 220M is not spinning/agitating at full speed. It wasn't working at all but then when I moved it there were shredded pieces of a plastic bag underneath. P\The bag has possibly gone down the inside of the inner bowl. I have tried it since then and it will spin but hardly at all. How can I check if this is causing the problem. thanks

Check underneath to see if there is any more plastic caught anywhere or maybe the drive belt is loose or damaged. If all okay under there, the only way to check under the spin drum is to remove it but that is not an easy DIY job unless you have tools and know how.
