Stannah 400 stairlift?

Changed batteries as chair slowed down after half way up stairs, Found loose yellow/black tracer wire and chair seat now rotates anti-clockwise before moving up.Moving down it rotates back to normal and descends OK.
The twelve way plug/ socket has 12 wires one side but end mauve in wire has no connection on other side. Is this where the loose wire has come from

stannah 400 stairlift only travels up 20 - 30 cm then stops if you turn off power and then turn on will travel another 20 - 30cm once at the top everthing works correctly and will decend normaly,. Any fixes or somewhere I can obtain a manual ?

Thanks Marcus,
No, I am sure this wire terminated somewhere, it has exposed conductor on it's end and looks as though it was inserted in a connector. I guess this may be the cause of the seat rotating 90 degrees when going up.
Seems I will just have to bite the bullet and call in the local engineer people.

Maybe.... the wire might not be meant to be connected anywhere and may be supposed to just dangle in mid-air. I *think* it might be for an option that is unused and the installer cuts through to disable the function. If you're sure it's a 'red herring' then leave it be the way it was and don't connect it anywhere.
