the water valve is what we call drip feeding,its easy to replace,remember to remove mains plug from power suppy before removing the top of the machine ,turn water off,remove old valve fit new one job done

so the machine fills when not in use?
If so you have low water pressure or a faulty inlet solenoid valve and it will need replacing
