Indesit WG1033T stops mid cycle?

my Indesit WG1033T ecosense stops mid cycle. No problems other than that. It fills up with water, drum turns and machine drains of water too, its just annoying as i can never just load it up with washing and leave it. It will stop, then I have to nudge the ticker/dial to next 'number' and off it goes again, but then stops a few 'numbers' on the dial later, and I have to nudge it again!

I think its just the ticker/dial thing, is that easy to replace and how do I go about replacing it?

thank you guys :-) X
yes it is old, i can't even find the model on a number of spares sites......the nearest is a WG1033TG........not sure what the 'G' is for but I assume a newer model. There is no WG1033T and I've looked at 5 different spares suppliers now.

And if a timer's gonna cost me nearly £100 I think I will get a new washer!! Thanks again X

If you go here: http://www.4indesit.co.uk
You will find that a replacement timer will cost you £94.99 + P & P.
They are easy enough to replace with a little bit of commonsence and wiring awareness but I suggest that Tim's advice is best.

if this is a mechanical timer I personally suggest replacing the whole machine due to cost and continued life expectancy after repair. The fact its mechanical timer suggests it might be an older type machine anyway??
