intermittent fault with starter motor?

My Seat Leon has an intermittent fault with its starter motor. how do I get the starter motor engaging again?

If it spinning without engaging it could be the ring gear on your flywheel that is worn. The starter motor needs to come off for inspection of the motor and the flywheel.
