fix it... or toss it??

my palm sander, all of a sudden, now decides to be extremely loud, and practically vibrate right out of your hand!! Also have a hard time holding it on the object I am trying to sand without it taking on a mind of its own, and taking off on me.

Now can this be fixed? is there a way to turn down the vibration, the loudness I am not too concerned with.. just being able to hold the darn thing and use it again!!

Toss it.
Suggest the off-set counterweight bearing/housing is breaking up or at least 'stressed' and with that amount of vibration its your hands that will pay the price.
