drivers door is closed but warning light on dashboard says it is open

don`t think there will be a door switch on these and will probably work through the central locking and an ecu,i would start by checking the most used door which will be the o/s front,check between door and door pillar for any wiring breaks,if ok would remove door lock/latch assy and check the wiring to there,it may be the lock/latch assy itself.

Does the interior light still stay on, as both are controlled by the door switch sounds like a wire has coome off or bad earth connection fro switch to car body
