we have a latest model sky+ hd box.After many years of no problems
preset planner programmes are not recording or are clashing
We are aware that only 2 channels can be recorded at one time.Some of the programmes are only part recording.
ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Program recordings have a 'lead in' time and an 'overrun' time.
If two simultanious recordings overrun by say 3 minutes they will still be recording when the following program is trying to start.
Read your instructions, the lead in and overrun time are adjustable using your remote and going into Services, then Option 5. Now adjust the start and finish time. Most people set these to 'Automatic or add one minute to start and finish just to be on the safe side
