How do I fix my Baxi 552 Back Boiler?

Hi, I have a Baxi Back Boiler - Every time I switch on the hot water the boiler fires up then after about 30 sec the boiler cuts out and also the pilot light. I've changed the pump, diverter valve, room stat, and had the boiler service about 4 months ago. Any ideas?

check that the thermocouple nut that holds it into the gas valve is tight, but dont over do it!! if its not that try changing the thermocouple

me, December 2006
could be a split main burner

I have already had a new thermocouple fitted at the service. And when the biler fires up the flames are clear and blue.

I'm sure a plumer will have the answer £200 + pound later!!

AS LONG AS THE HEAT EXCHANGER IS NOT SOOTY (OBVIOUS LOOKING UNDERNEATH IF YOU SEE A BIG YELLOW FLAME) THE THERMOCOUPLE MAY BE FAULTY OR BLOCKED PILOT.
