I know you will kick yourself in the butt when you find out what the solution to this problem is, because I did.
Grab your APEX remote. At the very upper right, there is a gray button labeled [I\P]. Press it. That should resolve your problem.
When looking for an online manual or any support for past APEX products, one is met with total disappointment. I understand the product is cheap but there has to be some type customer website reference.
