How do I fix AEG Oko Favorit 40300 dishwasher that does not drain?

At the end of the cycle my AEG Oko Favorit 40300 dishwasher had water at the bottom - ie it did not drain. It does pump water around and the arms spray water. Does anyone have any ideas?

I had to call a plumber, though it turns out I could have fixed it myself. This is what I learnt: remove the outlet hose from where it attaches to the rest of the plumbing system - under the sink in my case. It was blocked, but the material fell out quite easily and the pump began to work, and water then came out and that was it! He advised making sure that the outlet hose was high in relation to the rest of the plumbing so that water, food etc from the kitchen sink did not back up along the hose - he hooked it over some of the pipework under the sink. I also noticed that, at the bottom of the dishwasher the part of the food filter whihc has a loop had been fitted on off-centre so that particles of food could have slipped through. I don't know if it would generally be easy to unblock the outlet hose from the far end, so to speak.

possible faulty/blocked expeller pump. try first - remove pump and check for blockages. ( but first siphon /bail water to minimise flooding on kitchen floor. good luck
