how can i fix my hotpoint aquarius washer condenser dryer?

i have a hotpoint aquarius 1100 washer condenser dryer. every thing works as normal exept the drum won't turn i've had the back off to examine the belt and it is intact. i turned the power back on to the appliance and it started spinning but stopped shortly after. this happened e few times turning the power on and off. could this have been a defective relay resetting by the pull of gravity causing the motor to quickly burn out. i will attempt to repair it myself so would be greatfull for names and numbers of parts you have in mind please thankyou.

These motors don't have brushes, as they are induction motors and require a capacitor to start the rotation. If the belt is intact it will be the capacitor. email me for instructions/cost of part. service@1stcall.fsnet.couk

If the drum can be turned freely by hand and the belt is intact then I would first have a look at the motor brushes. These can be purchased for about £15.00 and take a couple of minutes to fit.
