how can i fix my Hotpoint first addition 1000 wm52?

I have a Hotpoint first addition 1000,wm52.this morning it stopped working.We rotate the dial to E,nothing is happening apart from a few clicks and whirs.

change the motor brushes, this is a very common fault with this machine.

check that there is not a blockage in the pump preventing it from emptying.

Check for soap scum and scale blockages in the outlet pipe

Check that the air pressure tube that runs to the diaphragm swith is not clogged up
