When the machine starts to fill with water and when the drum spins it makes a loud scratching noise.

any missing bra wires?.remove the filter and check for objects in there.rotate the drum by hand and see if you get a noise.if you do something is jammed in between the drum and the outer tub and needs removing before serious damage is caused
