How can I fix my Phillips cassette recorder Model # AZ1015/17?

A friend gifted me this cd/radio//cassette recorder player. Its almost new but the cassette badly warps, plays for a little and then garbles like crazy. I don't know a thing about belts, electricity, the plumbing about cassette recorders. All I know is that the sound is brilliant from this small size boombox manufacture by Phillips Magnavox in 1999, Made in China?

the fast forward thing whirls like a whirling dervish, a thing seems brand new but a belt is broke somewhere along the line.

Thanks in advance

Will some one please come to my assitance?

I have this same boombox. The end-of-tape shutoff did not work well. Once a tape reached the end and the cassette player remained on in the play mode. As a result (when I found it), something (a belt?) broke, because it will not play. So, I too would be interested in info on how to make this repair. If this is a universal problem with this machine, I suppose the manufacturer won't issue a recall unless it poses a risk of injury.
