hi john several causes for this, the machine is not registering that the correct water level has been reached, if you do not hear any water going in it could be the inlet solenoid at fault probably situated in grey box on the tap end of hose, check also you have water supply at the tap. If you do hear some water going in then will be a faulty component called an "impellor jug", a circular device in the inlet hose just inside the back of machine, or the electronic unit faulty and not responding to the electrical pulses from the impellor jug. My money is on a faulty impellor jug. Cheers
