Think the drum shaft is broken, is it repairable Bosch Maxx 5?

My Bosch Maxx5 has gone wrong.
I usually do a 30 or 40 wash express wash,once a week.
last week I did a 60 intensive stains cotton wash. Took a
long time. At finish Drum & garments contained
particles, looked like concrete or plastic body filler.
Drum was quite difficult to rotate by hand - felt some
resistance.
I ran a rinse cycle,ok until the spin - some smoke in the
drum when I opened the door?. I ran a load at 30 express,
bit noisey but acceptable until it reached spin cycle -
deafening noise and unusual jumping around. I was worried.
Again smoke in drum when oened the door, drum almost
impossible to turn by hand - sounded like a grating noise,
drum and clothes contained similar plastic bits and what
looked like plastic gratings!.
What is happening? is this repairable?.
Machine looks Ok, like new, at back and from the top. I
bought Bosch for German reliance, previous washer was a
Zanussi and lasted over 15 years. I am NOT HAPPY.

Hello, mother bear can you let me know how you got on with your issue I have the same problem. Thanks

mother bear I am 100% certain you have answered what is wrong with it yourself one of the arms of the spyder assy has disintegrated but I would also guess that you are constantly using liquid instead of powder, would like a reply, btw everything is fixable but at a price quite a bit of work involved as the ss drum has probably cut the front half of the tub in two

mm if you read the question again it says she does a 30 degree or 40 degree wash ONCE a week. Therefore very little use actually, you may have been a little harsh.

bearings shot.if it has ground plastic off tub may need a new one of those as well.£150 repair

felt some resistance ?? I bet you did, your lucky it did not blow the glass door to bits :-)

What is happening?

You appear to be ignoring the danger signs of a machine destroying itself and despite the debris and smoke you have made things worse by continuing to use it.

Is it repairable?

Possibly but very probably not economically sensible.

I do not think the temperature of the wash water has been a contributing factor.

Good luck...

30 to 40 washes a week???are you using it in a laundrette ??its a domestic machine and NOT ment to be hammered, its done aprox 30 to 40 years work, the plastic bits are the inside outer tub getting hit by the drum, you have ruined your machine buy a commercial one
