My hedge trimmer is plugged in but won't start?

Hello, my Landxcape GHT560N is plugged in but it won't start when both triggers are depressed? Please can you help?

Hi and thanks for getting back to me Peccavi. OK so I checked the socket it's not that. The socket is fine. I checked the fuse and used a test fuse that works so that's ok. I checked the power cord and I have not cut it using the trimmer so that's ok. I took the cover off the trimmer and cleaned everything and oiled the blades. I plugged it back in and it worked fine. The next day I tried cutting my hedge with it and it worked just fine and then I switched it off (released both triggers). When I tried to switch it back on it worked but then slowed down and died. Since then it has not worked at all. Any suggestions?

1) The socket it's plugged into may be defective
2) The fuse may have popped
3) You may have trimmed and cut the cable (unplug while you examine it for damage)
4) The trigger & interlock may be defective
5) There may be an internal wiring problem (doubtful)
6) The motor may have failed

1, 2 & 3 are the easy ones to check - 4, 5 & 6 will require more effort.
