flowering crabapple tree?

I just planted my new tree. its about 5ft tall. someone came by and broke it in half. I need to know if some how it will still grow. its about 18 inches now. Can I tape in together and it grow or replant my 18inch stick???

You can fix the broken top to bottom section - tape over and seal the join - be patient - consider multiple grafts.

You have nothing to lose by trying.
