suddenly i cant access some sites and wont let me into my ebay -paypal +other sign ins.
have scanned with various progs. but nothing works

A "doggy" modem CAN corrupt some data. That, in turn, can cause all sort of strange errors, especialy when transmiting encrypted data where it's much more dificult to detect and correct any corrupted data.
It can also cause some problems elsewhere, like downloaded installers and updates not working.

Make absolutely sure that you are indeed on the genuine sites. Tripple check the addresses. Make sure that the affective addresses are NOT redirected in any way.

Make sure that cookies ara enabled. All those sites use cookies for the login and to remember that you are logged in.

Make sure that scripts are also enabled. Most sites use some kind of script on the login page.
