What is wrong with my Glow-worm Central Heating boiler?

Our boiler has been set to heat the water contstantly thoughout the summer months, however when I came to switch the radiators on, after about 1 hour with the radiators getting hot, all the electiricity tripped off in the house. We turned the boiler off and went on holiday, and upon returning I noticed the overflow from the loft had been dripping water. We tried the boiler once more and even heating the water is tripping all the electiricty. Im not sure what to do, and after watching rogue traders am reluctant to get help until I know what is wrong!!!

British gas do a fixed fee call out which includes the replacement of one part and up to one hours labour. It costs about £140. So that would cover most possible problems (unless your boiler has had it!).
I've used it and they replaced the pump, flushed the system and made sure everything was safe. Like you I was worried about 'cheap' deals so I thought the price was good for peace of mind.

not sure without looking and knowing what boiler you have, but sounds like the pump has gone. if it is the pump a top quality one is about £60 and will take no more than an hour to change.
