the fridge part stopped working , defrosted it for 24 hrs , fridge working but week later the same thing happened so took of the back panels in freezer found ice so put hairdryer on it and threaded greased wire through drain hole a little gunk came out , fridge working again, but week later it fridge warming up again , help what else can i do

in the back of the freezer is a heater that defrosts the ice (autodefrost).if that doesn't operate it blocks with ice and causes a warm fridge.need to test autodefrost/heater system with a view to something being faulty
