Fisher & Paykel 703 fills and drains at the same time has anybody got a fix?
My fisher and paykel fills then it starts to drain at the same time and will not wash, has anybody had this problem and have been able to fix it please?
MM it is a top loading F&P smartdrive. It doesn't have a flood switch. It will be a faulty water level sensor which is part of the main control board. Replace the board.

check the bottom of the machine some have a anti flood switch fitted on a float if it sticks then it sends a signal to the pump to empty the machine it does this incase the water valves drip feed when you are away on holiday and stuff like that, you should always close the washing machine door when not in use turn the power off before taking the back off

Yes the drain pump can be heard and water is pumped then it stops the machine then starts to top it up when it's almost done filling then the pump starts up and drains again.

Unfortunately, the only reason I can think of would be a faulty control board. Both the water level sensor & the drain pump are controlled from the main board. It would have to be replaced.

Yes I hear the pump come on and drain while the machine adds more water to the wash so that the cycle can start; but the cycle doesn't start as the water level is still not correct for the cycle to begin..

When you say it drains at the same time, do you mean that the drain pump can be heard starting up and pumping the water out or does the water just come out of the drain hose without hearing the drain pump?
