the suction doesn't work on my carpet cleaner, how do I check this out on m?

My carpet cleaner dispenses the solution, but doesn't pick it up. I am trying to figure out how to check the hoses. I need help with this....

9 out of 10 suction problems are because there is a blockage or a obstruction in the suction pipes you can free the blockage by using another hover to suck the obstruction out or strip down all the pipes and wash them in soppy water
