Depollution system faulty?

Hi

I have a 207 cabriolet -2008 model, i have read through all the questions and answers on here but I don't seem to have seen anyone with my problem?

I to have had the depollution system faulty message come on, but I also have the cooling fan staying on for at least 10 minutes after the car stops.....I haven't took it on a long drive as I am frightened it might blow up!

Could anyone advise me please?

ten minuts plus seems excesive evan in warm weather, as long as theres enough coolent in the radiator nothig obvios is blockin the rad. at the frount of the car-a blown up carier bag/newspaper maybe , take it for a fast drive but ether you or an asistant watch the temp gauge constantly for overheating . think the fan running is a faulty sensor, the fan isent needed at speed as speed of the car forces air through the radiator--thats why moaste overheats happen in heavy slow traffic
