The remote on our Panasonic CD Stereo System SC-AK490 does not put the system on or off. We did not drop it or damage it in any way. We have put new batteries in the remote but it still does not work. In order to shut the system off, we have to pull the plug or it will comes back on automatically but not on any station. Words come up saying soft, heavy, clear.
