hi ive got a water leak from behind the engine it is dripping onto the gear box and it looks like its coming from a metal hose

You don`t say whether it is FWD or RWD but I can only think of heater hoses where you are on about but on the RWD I think there is a steel coolant pipe linked to the EGR valve which comes round to the o/s of the head,whether it is perforated is anyones guess but a mirror and torch would maybe help locate your leak
