I had to fabricate a lower door latch. The clock and timer works now but the microwave does not start. There is a long flat piece of metal that looks like a magnet along side of the upper and lower latch in the door

do not mess around with micro wave unless you know exactly what you are doing,there are no magnets in a microwave latch assm,you could end up hurting yourself or other people,most microwaves have 3 or 4 micro switches in the door latch,one switches one the light as you open the door,others are safety switches,you have been warned mate,am a trained engineer,and I know what they can do to the unwary
