I own a combo dvd/tv model MD20F11. I have owned the tv for a little over a year now and It's been working great until recently. When I try to turn on the tv, it turns on for less than a second, then immediately shuts off. I've tried using different outlets, unplugging the tv for a couple minutes then plugging it back in, unplugging for a few days and plugging back in, but nothing works. Any suggestions or solutions to my problem? Thanks

this is happening to my tv as well... i purchased one and exchanged it for the same model after this problem started happening. the second one worked for a couple of months and broke the same way (would turn off seconds after being turned on). I called toshiba and after much argumentation they finally agreed for it to be repaired. 6 months after the repair of the second unit, the problem happens again....

i'm calling toshiba tomorrow... this is obviously a flawed model...

Same TV...same problem. I re-soldered all of the High-voltage section and cleaned the "B+" pot by swiping it from end to end 6 or 8 times (after marking its original position). Put it all back together and it works fine. I did have to turn the high voltage down on the flyback (lower knob). This can only be done when the set is on so be careful.
