Beko fridge-freezer cda 543?

Beko fridge-freezer cda 543 worked fine until 04/11/2013 in ambient temperature above 0 deg, it will now only run above 11 deg ambient. Beko's brochure says it will work to minus 15.
There is no visible thermostat only a potentiometer in the fridge and circuit board at the back.
How is the temperature sensed ?
How can I fix this ?

Thank you CK

The reason we bought the Beko CDA543 was because Beko confirmed in their literature this would work in a garage / shed to minus 15 deg.

Hotpont, Zanussi and others require ambient of 10+ which I understand as interior use.

My questions remain, please respond

For this to work it has to be in a room that has a room temperature of 12deg or more otherwise the sensor in the fridge never warms up enough to turn the appliance on and everything thaws out in the freezer.put it in a warm room 12deg+ and I bet it works fine
