I have defrosted Hotpoint First Edition fridge now motor does not run?

I have Hotpoint First Edition Fridge at least 9 years old. I have no manual to refer to.
Having defrosted it the motor has not kicked back in yet after 2 days. the light is on but no motor.

Is the motor warm ? if so you may need to replace the starting capacitor.
