When my washer starts and is filling where the detergent goes the water will not stop like it is suppose to when it starts its "washing cycle" I dont know if something is stuck or needs to be cleaned so this sensor "shuts off" when the wash cycle starts and the water stops filling machine.

2 things :- firstly if you have a water pressure switch in the machine it will have a small air hose attached to it which goes down to an air collector, this collector could be full of gunk, or the air hose may have a leak, or pressure switch faulty. second if you have a flow meter between the water valve and soap box this could be faulty.
