i have a ferroli maxima 35c which is less than 2 years old but it keeps breaking down with the same problem . F3 keeps coming up ,i have had british gas out on numerous occasions and have now been informed it requires a power flush, does this make sense as i am sure it was done when system was installed or is it b.g just trying to make a quick buck from me

its poss that it needs powerflushing, but if it was done right in the first place it should last for years. if you can drain your system down to see how black the water is in your rad system this will give you a idea if it was done right in the first place, and did they add any inhibitor to the system.you can always get on to the boiler makers and tell them they can sometimes send out a tec man to tell you the truth. if its found by them that it was never powerflushed right they can stop your warranty and take it up with who installed the boiler. never the less bg haven't got the best reputation in the plumbing industry.
