My BOSCH Classixx 6 1400 Express wont spin sometimes?

Hey,

This is really a question for dannyboy as he seemed to know what was what judging by an previous answer he wrote but i would appreciate advice from anyone.

My machine (BOSCH Classixx 6 1400 Express) washes normally, the pump is clear and will spin when empty or sometimes with various loads. Just recentlt it will not spin with just my bath mat in which it used to (one of my cat wees on it from time to time!). Reading dannyboys article I am thinking that this is due to an unbalanced load so given that it used to work ok but does not now I thinking this may be the unbalanced load sensor or the suspension? It does seem to run concentrically when I look at it with just the bath mat. Also it starts to turn and then I hear a click so this supports the sensor theory.

I am very practical so want to handle any reapair but need some direction. Is the suspension easy to replace?

I look forward to any help. thx

The imbalance sensor system has nothing to do with the suspension, and in 35 yrs working on Bosch i have never had to replace the suspension on any machine. The imbalance sensor system is in the pcb it measures the voltage generated by the tacho coil on the motor. When you have an uneven load the drum goes down one side faster than it goes up the other and the voltage is erratic triggering the system. If your machine used to spin a single bath mat once ,you were lucky, it usually never spins a single heavy item, and is designed not to, to prevent damage. this is not a fault. Cheers
