how to mend a socket?

had my phone charger in the socket one of the plasic legs have broken leaving the over bit in the socket tryed pulling it out nothing happens

by the time you have taken off the socket to attempt the repair , it would be just as easy to fit a new one as would be to fit back the existing one. do not take the socket apart to try to get the bit out, they never go back together exactly, fit a new one.

Switch off the mains power. Remove the screws attaching the faceplate. Take a small screwdriver and gently prise out the leg from the inside of the socket.
