It starts up as though about to take in water, but only will on some wash cycles, then does nothing. It will drain water that comes in but wont wash. The drum just wont move and it wont move onto the next part of the cycle. If I put it to a spin cycle it wont do anything. Belt etc looks to be in tact.

Is there anything I can do without calling out an engineer?

Hi my Hotpoint WML760 is nopt working. When I turn it on all the lights just keep flashing and no cycle begins?

Is there anyway i can fix this issue myself or will i have to contact an engineer? Thanks in advance.

This sounds like a main module fault (not motor brushes as this model does not even have them !). You need to change the main module in the back of the machine.
