Fix Bosch DHE645MGB cooker hood?

I have seen another post on this site about a similar fault on another Bosch cooker hood and tried the same process. When I removed the front control cover (power isolated) I found the microswitch on the extreme right hand side. I did a continuity test with the multimeter and found this switch in working order. I can see a white plastic box just to the left of the switch, with power lines in and out, to switches, lights, fans and 240v socket, but I cannot see anything else that could be at fault. Is this white box the fault and where can I get a new one?
Thanks

Many thanks for your help. The first time I put a multimeter across the fuse in the plug at the supply socket, it registered as a closed circuit, so I assumed it was ok and the fault elsewhere. I have taken the fuse out and tested it again and find it is an intermittent open/closed reading. The fuse has been replaced and the hood now works perfectly.

Hi CK, ~I have checked the 13a fuse in at the plug in the cupboard mains socket. This is fine and the microswitch that trips when the hood is opened and closed is fine, showing correct making/breaking as it operates. The power from the mains enters the hood at the rear into a white box, from which spades at the front take the power to the lamps and the rocker switch. The live/neutral terminals coming out of the side of this box do not show any voltage. Is it possible this white box (distribution box?) is faulty and how do I get a new one. It would be good if I could email a photograph I have of the inside of the hood - can I have your email?
Thanks, Dave Haynes

should be a 3A fuse somewhere that may of blown if installed correctly. If its been installed incorrectly with a 13A fuse it might of burnt tracking out on switch pcb

you need to test if you have power to the extractor hood first.this require a multimeter
