My fw 3861 fw will not empty water, the display shows 96 mins at first then flashes with bars. Have managed to get small amount of water out but then stops again and display flashes

Sorry CK just reread your answer, yes the machine has been working perfectly cant remember how old it is but several years old

have got pump working using caustic soda/vinegar/hot water, now emptying but will not go through a cycle. Will apparently wash on prewash setting, but after 10 mins stops then sounds like pump trying to start but then clicks, display goes off briefly then comes on again. This process then just repeats constantly (no water in machine when I open door) Is there any reset/reboot needed for programmes ?

Has it been working OK or is it a new install?.check drain hose and drain pump for blockages
