Why does my screen shimmer when i play CDs through my pc?

When i play CDs through my pc my screen shimmers. I thought it might have been feedback from the speakers however i completely disconnected them so no sound was available but the screen still shimmered. It only happens when i play cds and not any other time. I have chaged the speakers but it still does the same. Help please if you can. Thank you

Try moving the monitor to a different position

Perhaps if your pc has a sound card and a graphics card (rather than onboard ones) they are somehow conflicting with each other, or interfering. Try installing them in slots further apart.

Possibly you have a weak power supply, and the extra load of the cd player is taking the power levels down enough to cause the screen to distort.

Not 100 percent sure, sounds like a odd one this.

either your disc drive is dirty or it's supposed to do that i suggest buying blow off at office max (if you have one where you live) but it's possibly normal
