Brandt WBD1211 gets stuck on spin cycle - sump hose sealed?

Will not progress onto sin cycle, hard work to manually drain. I've been told rogue socks etc can creep into to sump hose. Anyone know if sump hose is sealed or can I just prise it off jubilee clips etc? Any other ideas apart from faulty drain pump?

Ok, not sealed. Unclipped and had a fish around - nothing doing. What I did find was the plastic duct had shook itself loose from where it connects to the bottom of the dryer fan impeller housing. It seems the whole duct assemby had not been secured properly following a previous repair. The duct is a push fit onto the bottom of the fan housing and looks like it may well shake itself loose again. Enough to prevent a spin cycle? Been reading elsewhere how other models wont spin either if the dryer is not used over a period of time or if the air pressure is not right unless I've misinterpreted. Anyway, fingers crossed as first attempt spin resumed, although problem historically is intermittent. Thinking about a dab of glue if it happpens again. Any recommendations?
