How can I repair my Navman iCN 320 In- Car Mobile GPS Navigation Unit?

The Navman powers up just fine and shows all of the UK Maps however is continually "searching for GPS"
Does anyone have any idea how to correct this or a good repairer

Turn Unit off with main switch at side, leave couple minutes, turn back on and power up with front on off button
From the Main Menu press the button underneath the spanner>Demo and deselect the first square if it is ticked>Save. Turn off with front on off button.

With your device turned off, press and hold the "OK" button in between the arrows and press the "On" button.

On screen you should see the "Maintenance Menu". Scroll to "GPS menu" using the arrow keys and select it using the "OK" button. Select "Perform a GPS cold start". When this has finished, press the "Home" key twice (the one with the three lines on it). Turn the unit off, then go outside, raise the antenna, and turn it on again. Keep it still for 10-15 minutes and the unit will start to pick up GPS again.

If your car has a heated front screen the fine wires in it prevent the signal reaching your aerial. Try positioning it near to the side window or buy an external aerial.

had same problem with my icn 550,i was told to get an external aerial which plugs into the receiver at the rear of the unit as the unit may have a weak receiver.you can get these off ebay for about £10

according to one source when i posed the same question about my icn 550....it may be a weak receiver and i should try an external aerial plugged into the receiver on the back of the unit

apparently it takes a long time to localte the signal - just boot it up 20 mins before your journey!
