Zanussi aquacycle 1000 keeps blowing fuses?

Please help I recently bought a second hand zanussi aquacycle 1000. It has now surged twice and blown two fuses. It will start a cycle then gets to a certain point and shorts out. Please any suggestions as to what this might be and how to fix it!?
