How can I tune a Sony portable model KV-14T1U, remote control is RM-836?

I have a Sony portable with teletext, model KV-14T1U, the remote is model RM-836, can anyone tell me how to search for and tune channels using the remote (I have no instructions for the TV :o(

Thankyou Pat, just the info I needed! I do not have a remote, but at least I now have all the channels tuned in, but in the wrong place lol. I can live with that

Press and hold for a few Seconds the 2nd Button from the left on the front of the TV. The auto tune menu will appear on the bottom right of the screen. Wait until it disappears and then check the channels by using the buttons on the remote.
