i have a hole in my plastic bath approx 4" from the bottom any ideas as i do not want to replace the full bath.

you are most likely going to have to replace the tub eventually, but a quick fix might be to duct tape the inside (not the inside of the tub where water is but the inside inside) and seal it with rubber cement to keep water from going into the hole this should hold for a couple of weeks or until you can get another tub
