hi there, does the small feed and expansion tank in the loft feed into the flow or return just curious i have a y plan indirect heating system, having looked im pretty sure the cold feed from the tank goes into the flow pipe before the pump, but in other houses i have the cold fed in the return pipe, anyway does cold feed from the small tank feed into flow or return does it matter or is it whatever is easiest thanks

It can feed before pump and is combined vent
as long as you do not have overpumping to small tank, anywhere is fine
