Janome MC3000 noise?

My Janome 3000 makes a squealing noise when it is running at a high speed. It seems to come from the motor area not the needle area.
I have never oiled this machine as Janome says it is unnecessary. I clean it regularly using an aerosol "air duster".
It sounds like either a bearing running dry or a slipping belt.
When run at low speed the machine works perfectly.
Any advice will be appreciated.

TIA

best and easiest to find problem is to remove drive belt to first check motor bushes and then use a small dia tubing to listen to where noise is coming from while running machine, hold tube close to suspected area and listen ,surprise how quickly you will find problem, all machines do need oil at some time off there life
