more likley to be the heating element under the lid that needs replacing you can check it with a continuity tester with the power off

Check
The wire(s) are not loose to the heater.
The heater is not burnt out - check the resistance, but there MAY be 2 circuits warm/hot.
The voltage is reaching the heater when it should
These MAY lead to the fault. In doubt? Don't get electrocuted!!!!!!!!!!
