My Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer will not turn on?

I was making cookie dough with my Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer, and I had forgotten to "lock - down" the mixer arm. It kicked up and jammed the mixer. I turned it off quickly, un-jammed it, but now it will not operate. No noise, nothing.
