Thermostat and grommet?

Hi, I wonder if you can help? My washer decided to leak water from the drum. On inspection the thermostat and surrounding grommet had popped out of the casing allowing a major water leak. I don't think there is anything wrong with the parts as I will be attempting to push them back in. What I would like to know is there any special glue or sealant paste required to reposition the items on the drum??

I believe these popped out due to the drum being overfilled which shook them loose.

Cheers

These stats usually are pushed out on the spin by a foreign object between the drums plastic comb etc, best to check this. Some rubber grommets are glued in some just push in , it depends on the make and model. There is a washing machine glue available for this if required.
